In 1936 Dr. Emile Vodder developed a manual massage to stimulate the lymphatic system. By restoring a healthy lymphatic flow, the body is cleansed and detoxified, improving circulation, accelerating healing, and increasing skin hydration.  Lymph drainage techniques enhance the removal of metabolic wastes, excess water, toxins, bacteria, large protein molecules, and foreign substances from tissue via the initial lymph vessels and the venous capillaries.

In
1985, Catherine Atzen invented Lymphobiology®, which stimulates the lymphatic system. The LymphMed unit induces the contraction and expansion of the lymphatic valves, which in turn encourages the lymph re-absorption and movement of lymph fluid and toxin removal. slow rhythmic  pulsing suction cleanses the tissues, eliminates toxins and increases blood flow.
This methodical stimulation directs the lymphatic fluid to the lymph nodes where the fluid is filtered and waste is eliminated. Since lymph flows through the body in a one-way direction, with valves preventing fluid from going the wrong way, the tissues must always be slowly and gently 'pumped' in the same direction as the local flow pattern. This is done in reverse order, clearing the node through which the lymph will drain first then working back, alway moving in the direction of the flow of lymph.. The light displacement of the skin, combined with the pumping action of the machine, stimulates the lymphatic system to move the lymph.  Due to the change in the balance of pressure in the tissues, new fluids are filtered to the area, bringing nutrients and hydration to the cells.,The body’s own lymph system continues the process for days after receiving a Lymphmed treatment enabling the lymph to flow in a more youthful and healthy way.

The  lymphatic system consists of the lymph, a colorless fluid that circulates through a system of ducts in the body.  Along these ducts the lymph glands act as “purifying stations” destroying dead cells, bacteria, and eliminating waste materials and toxins..  Lymphobiology® Treatments stimulate the body's lymphatic system.

Lymphatic drainage stimulation,  when done in a series, will help diminish cellulite, swelling, bruising, water retention, fatty tissue, It can aid in  increasing blood circulation, and eliminate impurities and toxins from the deeper layers of the skin. Lymphatic drainage massage are found to promote healing in both pre and post operative situations. For best results done in a series of 10 treatments within 5 weeks. Then once a month for maintenance.

What is Cellulite?

Cellulite is a condition affecting approximately 85% of women in the United States, appearing on the thighs, hips, buttocks, stomach, and arms. Fat, fluid, and toxic wastes cause capillary leakage at the cellular level. The “cottage cheese” appearance is created by fibrous cells that surround fat cells and create micronodules (soft cellulite) and macronodules (hard cellulite). Contributing factors include fluid retention, hormonal changes, stress, poor nutrition, poor circulation, lack of exercise, and hereditary factors. Because our lymphatic system slows down with age, it isn't always capable of working efficiently enough to eliminate the wastes and toxins before they affect the fat cells, and cellulite appears.  By using the lymphmed machine, the lymphatic system is supported in riding the body of wastes that may cause cellulite.
